INDIANAPOLIS- Saturday should be another great day for college football, with the 2 big games coming out of the SEC. Let's take a look at the big games for the day.
#9 LSU @ #5 FLORIDA
This is definately the game of the day in college football. Flordia, as everyone knows, has a brutal next 3 weeks and if they can beat LSU then that would give them a huge boost. LSU has Heisman candidate Jemarcus Russel, but they do not have a running game whatsoever. Florida has showed their impressive offense consisting of 2 quarterbacks that are worthy of the starting job. It will be close, but I think the Gators will get the job done.
Final Score: Florida 17 LSU 13
#13 Tennesee @ #10 Georgia
There are only two things in this game that I think will keep Georgia in it. One is their great defense, and two is their crowd. Georgia has not performed well early in the season, especially on the offensive side of the ball. I see Tennesee taking control of this one and establishing them as one of the premier teams in the SEC.
Final Score: Tennesee 24 Georgia 10
#7 Texas @ #14 Oklahoma
Texas comes into the game at 4-1, but they lost the one real test that they have had this season against Ohio State. Oklahoma is still playing with a chip on their shoulder after a controversial loss against Oregon. I predict Oklahoma blowing this one open and taking control of the Big 12.
Final Score: Oklahoma 37 Texas 17
#11 Oregon @ #16 California
Even though Oregon really didn't beat Oklahoma, they are still undefeated and have been very impressive early in the season. California has been equally impressive, but come into the game at 4-1. I feel that this will be the closest game of the day, perhaps coming down to the very last play.
Final Score: Oregon 34 California 31
Michigan State @ #6 Michigan
You are probably wondering why in the world I am putting this game on here. I think that this one will either be really close, or a terrible blowout. We'll find out if John L. Smith prepared his team better this week then last week against Illinois, but the Wolverines still take this one big.
Final Score: Michigan 38 Michigan State 21
Stanford @ Notre Dame
Stanford looks way overmatched in this game, but I have heard people argue that this game might be close. Stanford gave Notre Dame a great game last season, but I think the Irish will be prepared. We'll see if their defense can do anything against one of the worst offeneses in the nation.
Final Score: Notre Dame 44 Stanford 10
