INDIANAPOLIS-
Game 7 Cardinals vs. Mets
The eyes will be on the NLCS tonight as Jeff Suppan will face Oliver Perez. The winner will go to the World Series to play the Tigers, but the question is does either team have what it takes to handle the Tigers? My answer to that question is "NO". I think the Tigers will win the World Series no matter what, but personally I think the Mets will give them the better series. As for tonight's game, it is really hard to pick a winner. It should be a good one.
Will Tiki retire?
Yesterday Giants RB Tiki Barber made a statement saying he expects to retire at the conclusion of the season. Tiki is averaging 109.9 ypg this season, tops in the NFL. He is on track for over 1700 yards and has been a great back of late, which leaves people wondering "Why would he want to retire?" Personally, I think if he said he was going to retire, then he will retire. Since he is playing in New York where things seem to get blown way out of proportion, anything is possible. Remember just last week we heard that Joe Torre was going to be fired and Lou Pinnelia hired, and look how true that was. I think it is too early to speculate, but it is just kind of a juicy story.
Pitt in the BCS?
The Pittsburgh Panthers are 6-1 and looking good since their loss to Michigan State. They have been dominant in every win, but have not really been tested yet. That will all change starting this week. They will take on undefeated #19 Rutgers on Saturday on ESPN HD, then they should be fine until late November when they take on #4 West Virginia and #6 Louisville in consecutive weeks. The good thing for Pitt is that all 3 of those games will be played at home, and if they won all three then they would be guarenteed a BCS bowl. The thing that the Panthers should be upset about is where in their schedule they had to play MSU. Had they played them after the Notre Dame loss, then they would be 7-0 right now and looking to do some damage.

Justin, I predicted the CArds and Detroit as the teams in the World SEries. Wish I would have bet on it. DO you realize that both pitchers in the game 7 Mets and CArds were both Pittsburgh trades - Perez and Suphan. AS usual Pirates gave away their better players. I really hope the Panthers beat Rutgers on SAturday. Keep up the good work. Love GRandma VIcki
