INDIANAPOLIS- Less than 24 hours after the Cardinals roughed up the Reds 13-1, they were humiliated almost just as badly. The Cardinals gave up 10 runs on 17 hits to the Reds and lost the game 10-3. The Cardinals pitcher Jason Marquis has been one of the most inconsistant pitcher in the national league and that held up. He has the most wins for a pitcher in the national league but he also has double figure losses. Marquis is now 12-10 and has given up 5.8 runs per game this season.
Inconsistancy has stayed with the Cardinals as their modest 3 game winning streak was snapped. They have now lost 9 of their last 12 games, yet they still lead the division by 3.5 games. We will see what will happen in game 3 of the series tonight as Adam Harang will take on St. Louis ace Chris Carpenter. You never know what will happen with two consecutive blowouts in opposite directions.
