Good Talking Dusty

INDIANAPOLIS- Dusty has finally done something right. Well actually it would be "said" something right. Dusty Baker came out and made the comment that the Cubs are not out of the wild card chase, and all they need to do is have somebody get hot. I don't know how much he actually believes this himself after trading Greg Maddux, but the comment has the potential to give his team the confidence they need to make a playoff push.
I don't know if you have noticed it or not, but the Cubs are playing better baseball now then they have all year. After being swept by the Nationals they took 2 out of 3 from the Mets, swept the Cardinals in 4 games, then split a 4 game set with the D-Backs. It just takes a stretch of about a month or so and we could be talking about a whole different team. The pitching is starting to come around so if they can just put that together with some hitting then they might have a chance.
I am not saying that the Cubs are going to make the playoffs. I am not even saying that they have a 50/50 chance of making the playoffs. All I am saying is that you can't count them out quite yet when they are playing as well as they are. Keep on fighting and anything is possible.
